This is a developing story.

Another horrific mass shooting has just occurred — this time at Brown University, a private liberal arts school in Rhode Island.

Multiple people were shot when a gunman reportedly opened fire during final exams near the university’s engineering building.

At least two were killed, with eight more in critical condition at the hospital.

Some reports are indicating that at least 20 victims in total were injured during the shooting.

A suspect has not been identified or apprehended at this time.

The university is still under a shelter-in-place order as police continue to investigate and search for the shooter.

CNN provided the latest update:

Two people have died and eight others are hospitalized in critical but stable condition, according to a 6:34 p.m. ET Brown University alert.

No shooter is in custody, the university said, and the shelter-in-place order is still active.
