The Daily Mail reported:

Multiple National Guard soldiers have reportedly been shot near the White House, sparking a security lockdown at the president’s residence.

Early reports suggest the shooter may still be on the lose after three people were shot down the street from the White House in the center of DC.

Reportedly, three people were shot in total, and two of them were National Guard members.

Per NBC Washington:

At least three people were injured by gunshots at 17th Street and I Street NW, right next to Farragut Square Park, a law enforcement source told News4.

One of the people injured was taken to a hospital via med-evac helicopter. The other two were taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Two of the victims were National Guardsmen, the Associated Press reports. A law enforcement source tells News4 at least one of the guard members was shot in an exchange of gunfire.
