On May 23, a Chicago judge allowed the release of previously sealed documents associated with the Jussie Smollett case.

The judge said that there was not good cause to keep the records sealed on common law grounds.

The States Attorney’s Office fought to keep the case sealed.

Two weeks ago, Chicago Police released a video that showed Jussie Smollett with a rope around his neck after returning frm his alleged hate hoax crime.

One video shows Smollett with a noose around his neck. The rope is clothesline rope that was purchased by the twins who helped Smollett carry out the hoax.

The CPD released a total of 69 hours of video including the body cam video showing Smollett with the noose around his neck:

The police officers turn off the body cam after a request by Smollett was made to turn it off.

Now, Long Island 12 News is reporting that the Chicago Police Department has released a new video of “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett related to his alleged hate crime incident.

The video appears to show Smollett walking to an elevator and throwing something into a trash can before leaving the building. What appears to be a white rope could be seen around his neck.

Police say that this video is from just prior to when Smollett alleges the attack occurred.

But Smollett’s attorney says that a rope is not around Smollett’s neck and that he was not throwing anything out in the trash, but looking in the mirror to examine his injuries.

What do you think about the Smollett case? Would any other American citizen be given the kind of privileges the former Empire actor’s been given by IL State’s Attorney  Kim Foxx? Was he allowed to slide with so much evidence against him because he tried to pin his fake hate crime on a Trump supporter? Tell us what you think about this case in the comment section below.
