Shocking video of an attack on a police cruiser in New York City is making the rounds on social media. The cruiser had stopped as a crowd was coming through.

Suddenly, a thug threw a metal trash can into the back window of the cruiser and then all hell broke loose.

More people attacked the cruiser from the front as it tried to move.
