President Trump just denounced the leadership of President Maduro (see below) and has officially recognized a new leader for Venezuela.
People have taken to the streets in the thousands to protest against Maduro’s socialist policies. The people have been literally starving living under the socialist regime of Maduro.
This is a great day for the people of Venezuela!

Another great view of the crowd of Venezuelans in the streets:
National Assembly speaker Juan Guaidó just took the oath of office as Interim President of
#Venezuela after having declared Maduro illegitimate. Hopefully, this signals the end of the #MaduroMustGo regime! #Caracas
President Trump tweeted:
The citizens of Venezuela have suffered for too long at the hands of the illegitimate Maduro regime. Today, I have officially recognized the President of the Venezuelan National Assembly, Juan Guaido, as the Interim President of Venezuela.
Vice President Pence had released a statement in support of the opposition leader in Venezuela:
Today @POTUS announced the U.S. officially recognizes Juan Guaidó as the Interim President of Venezuela. To @JGuaido & the people of Venezuela: America stands with you & we will continue to stand with you until #Libertad is restored! pic.twitter.com/4W3hlGplql
