President Trump did not wait for the cameras.

Fox News reported that Trump personally signed the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding on Wednesday, citing a White House official.

He signed it during a dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Palace of Versailles.

The official said a photo of the agreement was then sent to the Iranians and to the mediating countries.

The deal is now in effect.

Because the agreement is already in force to end the war, the planned main signing ceremony in Geneva will no longer take place.

That is a fast pivot from a formal Friday event to a done deal closed at a dinner table in France.

Fox News reported that Trump signed the memorandum while at Versailles, and that Tehran signed as well.

A White House official told Fox that a photo of the signed agreement was sent to Iran and to the countries that helped mediate the talks.

Fox reported that the Geneva signing ceremony was scrapped because the agreement is already in effect to end the war.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said plans for negotiating teams to travel to Geneva remain in place even with the formal signing event canceled.

Fox also reported, citing Iran International, that an IRGC-affiliated Tasnim News Agency source close to the negotiating team said Tehran insisted on a Persian-language version of the MOU.

That Persian text is recognized as an official version alongside the original agreement, according to the report.

The speed here is the story.

Washington was still chewing over the framework. President Trump signed it from a dinner in France and put it into effect early.

Trump closed the deal his way, on his timeline, and ended the war without waiting for a staged ceremony to make it official.
