Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene posted a tweet Monday night saying that she was in a restaurant when a man and woman confronted her. The mother and son were apparently angered by Greene’s politics but were unconcerned with making a public spectacle that affected the food establishment and other customers. She said,
“I was attacked in a restaurant tonight by an insane woman and screamed at by her adult son. They had no respect for the restaurant or the staff or the other people dining or people like me who simply have different political views. They are self-righteous, insane, and completely out of control.

Greene said the woman who attacked her also had her son yell and harass her. Greene said she was minding her own business when the incident started. She noted she “was sitting at my table, working with my staff, and never even noticed these people until they turned into demons.” She added, “People used to respect one another, even if they had different views. Not anymore. Our country is gone.”

Over the past years, leftist Democrats have called for increasing violence against Republican leaders. Yet, California Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters, who has frequently called for protests, prefers to travel with an armed escort while asking her “army” to go after other politicians and “get in their faces.”

Twitter users responded to Greene’s post with frustration, angered by Democrats who have encouraged reckless and targeted behavior among their constituents.

One user tweeted, “This kind of behavior and conduct is one inspired by the like of Maxine Waters and other violent democrats that urge the public to this kind of violence. It’s time they are held for their actions. Including these nut cases that have been let out on public figures.”

Greene has been subjected to threats previously. According to Gateway Pundit, earlier this month, a New York man pleaded guilty to threatening her,

In one voicemail, he told her he was going to harm her, “I’m gonna have to take your life into my own hands … I’m gonna hurt you. Physically, I’m gonna harm you.”

Joseph F. Morelli, 51, admitted that he had left the congresswoman many threatening messages during the Spring of 2022.
