Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has been leading the fight to expose Democrats and hold them accountable for their mistreatment of January 6th political prisoners.  Last week, Greene shared a harrowing report about the condition of January 6th prisoners after visiting the DC Correctional Facility, saying the prisoners have “virtually no medical care, very poor food quality, and [are] being put through re-education which most of them are rejecting.” Greene has previously analogized the treatment of January 6th defendants to that of Guantanamo Bay prisoners.  Today, she shared a disturbing text on Instagram from an unidentified source discussing the treatment of J6 prisoners.

“The pretrial J6 defendants awaiting trial are sharing only 1 tablet between over 40 men.

Held again in 23 hr/day solitary confinement.

Screaming in mental and emotional torture.

Why?

ACLU do you care?

No showers for an entire week, 23-1 solitary confinement, and harassed by guards under Deputy Warden Kathleen Landerkin who openly hates Trump and his supporters.”  She said on Instagram today.

“J6 Committee Members of Congress swore an oath to our Constitution.

Why don’t they care about due process & human rights abuse of pretrial defendants?” She further asks.

Greene has called for the firing of Deputy Warden Kathleen Landerkin, alleging that she has an anti-conservative bias that is directly linked to the mistreatment of J6 prisoners.

Other January 6th defendants have discussed the human rights abuses happening at the DC prison as well.  Pete Schwartz, a January 6th detainee, penned an open letter detailing the due process violations that have occured at the prison and at his trial. Schwartz said that prosecutors have given him no bond, poor access to discovery/evidence against him in the case, speedy trial violations, no indictment/arraginment, and more.
