Yesterday, we reported that a person attending the CPAC conference in Maryland last week has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a statement released last night by Republican Senator Ted Cruz, he is self-quarantining himself after shaking hands with the person who attended CPAC that has since tested positive for coronavirus.

In his public statement, Cruz made it clear that he is not experiencing any symptoms of coronavirus and that he feels “fine and healthy. Cruz clarified that he’s acting out of an “abundance of caution” because of his frequent interactions with his constituents. Senator Cruz said he will remain at his home in Texas until his 14-day self-quarantine has ended.

Congressman Gaetz has now confirmed on his Twitter account that he also came into contact with a CPAC attendee 11 days ago who tested positive for COVID-19.

LA Times White House reporter Eli Stokols is reporting that Rep. Matt Gaetz was on Air Force One with President Trump “roughly one hour ago.”

Here are photos of Gaetz entering Air Force One and a limo in the presidential motorcade today.

Reuters is reporting – Congressman Matt Gaetz says he is self-quarantining after attending the CPAC conference near Washington, D.C., where a person later tested positive for #coronavirus. Gaetz rode on Air Force One today following a trip to Florida.

According to NYT’s White House reporter Peter Baker, Rep. Gaetz learned he was in contact with the infected person at CPAC during the flight to DC from Orlando. Baker says he “essentially quarantined himself, sitting in a section of the plane alone.

Pray for President Trump and for all those who fight for him in Congress that have come in contact with the coronavirus victim at CPAC.
