On January 25, 100 Percent Fed Up reported about a special segment by Fox New’s Steve Hilton where he claimed Dr. Fauci approved the funding of the dangerous “Gain of Function” studies, despite being told by the Obama regime to stop.

Shortly after his inauguration, “President” Biden’s new Chief Medical Advisor Dr. Fauci, gleefully announced that “President” Biden has agreed to retract President Trump’s decision to withdraw support for the World Health Organization, calling its president Dr. Tedros his “dear friend.”

Fox News’ The Revolution host Steve Hilton unloaded on Dr. Anthony Fauci, telling his viewers that after the facts he is sharing with the public that reveal the origins of COVID-19, Dr. Fauci was “going to need friends in high places.”

Hilton explained how the influenza virus was injected from one ferret to another. According to Hilton’s study, ferrets have respiratory systems that are very similar to humans. About 10 years ago, scientists in Erasmus Medical Center in the Netherlands manipulated the virus in ferrets until the virus was mutated enough to be transmitted through the air. The “Gain of Function” virus research was born. The idea was to engineer the most contagious, deadly viruses in a lab to help us better prepare to fight them.

According to Hilton, Gain of Function virus research has been funded by none other than the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Disease’s Dr. Anthony Fauci. The Wuhan Institute of Virology is one of the leading laboratories studying the COVID virus.

“Imagine if a deadly virus engineered in a lab to be incredibly contagious somehow escaped from a lab; it could wreak havoc—precisely because it was designed to do this—not by nature, but by us!” Hilton said.

“Gain of Functions research has always been highly controversial,” Hilton explained. The Revolutionary host explained that in 2014, the Obama administration placed a complete moratorium on this kind of research, “following recent biosafety incidents at federal research facilities.

“Despite the controversy studying this type of research, it always had one steadfast champion, a leading figure in the world of infectious diseases—Anthony Fauci,” Hilton explained. “His institute funded that first ferret study,” he explained, adding, “At the time, he co-wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post describing this research as ‘A flu risk worth taking…important information and insights can come from generating a potentially dangerous virus in a laboratory.'”

Despite the Obama administration’s ban on “Gain of Functions” research, Hilton explains that Dr. Anthony Fauci gave over $3 million over the course of six years to zoologist Peter Daszak (known as the “bat man”) of Eco Health Alliance. Daszak first discovered the bat origin of the SARS pandemic over a decade ago. According to Hilton, Peter Daszak himself subcontracted the “Gain of Function” portion of Fauci’s project to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.” Hilton asks, “The question is—did they give it to us?”

Hilton continued with his bombshell report.

“Let’s see what they did with the Fauci money,” Hilton says.

“Inside the projects result page, there are 13 papers co-authored by the head of the Wuhan’s Infectious Disease unit. One of the papers, published in 2017, and Zoologist Peter Daszak is listed as a co-author. Inside the funding section of that paper is the ID of the Fauci commissioned project,” adding, “That’s the money trail!”

“Until now, the only reporting on Fauci’s role on all this has been on the funding of the Wuhan lab in general,” Hilton continued, “Tonight, we can go further—thanks to this paper, we can see the specific activity that Fauci funded—and it’s terrifying!”

They collected samples of bat feces in a bat cave in China, Hilton explained, adding that they found novel coronaviruses in the bat feces, and then they infected human cells with them. Here’s the most important part, Hilton explained, “The genetic changes they made in the lab unlocked a highly specific doorway into the human body—the virus that causes COVID-19 uses that same exact same doorway!”

“Are we still funding this research? “ Hilton asked, as he explained that they reached out to Dr. Fauci, the NIA, and Peter Daszak and got no replies from any of them.

Now, the Daily Caller is reporting a bombshell published by the far-left propaganda publication Vanity Fair – A U.S. government official reportedly ordered his employees not to publicly acknowledge American connections to and funding of the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), the site implicated in a potential lab-leak coronavirus origin theory.

Christopher Park did not want to open the “Pandora’s Box” of U.S. funding for gain-of-function research, according to a Thursday Vanity Fair report. The U.S. government indirectly funded gain-of-function at WIV through grants to the nonprofit group EcoHealth Alliance. That funding was not subject to a Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) review board that could have rejected the grant, because the sub-agency that awarded grants did not alert the review board.

Park, the director of the State Department’s Biological Policy Staff in the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation, reportedly told his employees not to say anything publicly in reference to that funding, an individual who attended the meeting where he gave his order reportedly told Vanity Fair. The individual reportedly described his comments as “so nakedly against transparency” as to be “shocking and disturbing.”

Park’s comments “smelled like a cover-up,” according to Thomas DiNanno, former acting assistant secretary of the State Department’s Bureau of Arms Control, Verification and Compliance. Park had pushed for the U.S. to resume funding gain-of-function research in 2017, according to Vanity Fair:

On December 9, 2020, roughly a dozen State Department employees from four different bureaus gathered in a conference room in Foggy Bottom to discuss an upcoming fact-finding mission to Wuhan organized in part by the World Health Organization. The group agreed on the need to press China to allow a thorough, credible, and transparent investigation, with unfettered access to markets, hospitals, and government laboratories. The conversation then turned to the more sensitive question: What should the U.S. government say publicly about the Wuhan Institute of Virology?

A small group within the State Department’s Arms Control, Verification, and Compliance bureau had been studying the Institute for months. The group had recently acquired classified intelligence suggesting that three WIV researchers conducting gain-of-function experiments on coronavirus samples had fallen ill in the autumn of 2019, before the COVID-19 outbreak was known to have started.

As officials at the meeting discussed what they could share with the public, they were advised by Christopher Park, the director of the State Department’s Biological Policy Staff in the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation, not to say anything that would point to the U.S. government’s own role in gain-of-function research, according to documentation of the meeting obtained by Vanity Fair.

Some of the attendees were “absolutely floored,” said an official familiar with the proceedings. That someone in the U.S. government could “make an argument that is so nakedly against transparency, in light of the unfolding catastrophe, was…shocking and disturbing.”

Park, who in 2017 had been involved in lifting a U.S. government moratorium on funding for gain-of-function research, was not the only official to warn the State Department investigators against digging in sensitive places. As the group probed the lab-leak scenario, among other possibilities, its members were repeatedly advised not to open a “Pandora’s box,” said four former State Department officials interviewed by Vanity Fair. The admonitions “smelled like a cover-up,” said Thomas DiNanno, “and I wasn’t going to be part of it.”

Reached for comment, Chris Park told Vanity Fair, “I am skeptical that people genuinely felt they were being discouraged from presenting facts.” He added that he was simply arguing that it “is making an enormous and unjustifiable leap…to suggest that research of that kind [meant] that something untoward is going on.”

“I am skeptical that people genuinely felt they were being discouraged from presenting facts,” Park told Vanity Fair. It “is making an enormous and unjustifiable leap … to suggest that research of that kind [meant] that something untoward is going on,” he continued.

EcoHealth Alliance distributed $600,000 in U.S. taxpayer dollars to WIV between 2014 and 2019 for the purpose of studying bat-based coronaviruses. The money was granted to EcoHealth by the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), the National Institutes of Health sub-agency led by White House senior medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The money was distributed during a government moratorium on gain-of-function research.

“If you ban gain-of-function research, you ban all of virology,” an NIH official reportedly said. “Ever since the moratorium, everyone’s gone wink-wink and just done gain-of-function research anyway.”

The WIV also received $559,000 from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), according to the report.

Park was not the only government official to oppose pursuing the lab-leak hypothesis, however. DiNanno told Vanity Fair that an intelligence analyst struggled to find a report written by officials working at a Department of Energy lab.

DiNanno told the outlet he viewed the report as being intentionally buried within the classified collections system. Department of Energy officials then attempted to block State Department officials from meeting with the report’s authors, DiNanno alleged.
