On Friday, President Trump tweeted an explanation of why Iran’s number one general was killed in a U.S. airstrike outside of the Baghdad Airport. Our Commander in Chief wrote:

General Qassem Soleimani has killed or badly wounded thousands of Americans over an extended period of time, and was plotting to kill many more…but got caught! He was directly and indirectly responsible for the death of millions of people, including the recent large number ….of PROTESTERS killed in Iran itself. While Iran will never be able to properly admit it, Soleimani was both hated and feared within the country. They are not nearly as saddened as the leaders will let the outside world believe. He should have been taken out many years ago!

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), defended President Donald Trump’s decision to kill Iran’s top general, Qassem Soleimani.

In a tweet, Rubio blasted the media for their inaccurate description of the reason for our military’s decision to take out Iran’s evil general. Rubio explained that Soleimani was attempting to take control of Iraq and use it as a platform for future attacks on the United States.

Rubio offered further explanation of his claim in a series of two tweets, saying:

1. Soleimani wasn’t “assasinated”,he was killed on the battlefield during active operations.

2. He was in #Iraq in violation of a 2007 UN Security Council travel ban

3. He spent the last few days coordinating imminent attacks against American citizens, allies & interests

4. At the direction of #Iran’s Supreme Leader, Soleimani was plotting a coup in #Iraq. He was corrupting/threatening politicians, exploiting Iraq’s resources & bringing a large military force loyal to him, in an effort to make Iraq a platform to attack the U.S. & our allies

On Saturday, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) blasted the Washington Post for their bogus op-ed, saying it was “wrong on many fronts.” Rubio explained, “When President Trump took over the threat from #Iran was not “manageable”. They continued work on -long-range missiles -rockets to threaten shipping -Quds Force support for terrorist proxy forces.”

He added: “Trump didn’t take sides between an intolerant Sunni regime in Saudi Arabia & an intolerant Shiite regime in #Iran. He took sides between an intolerant regime trying to kill Americans & destroy #Israel & an intolerant regime that isn’t.”

Rubio blasted the fake news narrative being pushed by Democrats like the bumbling Joe Biden, as he continued to reveal the truth about why our military killed Soleimani, “It is a FACT that #Soleimani spent the last several days traveling the Middle East coordinating imminent attacks by #Iran & its proxies against our troops. The fact that every Democrat running for President would have done nothing about it is reason alone to vote against them.”

Today, Rubio slammed the false claim that Trump claims that “Trump hasn’t explained why this is in our strategic interest” calling it “absurd.” Rubio warned, ” #Soleimani was in Iraq to direct attacks that would have killed hundreds of Americans. Saving U.S. lives & preventing the war that would result from their death is a strategic interest.”

Rubio, who has not been a strong defender of President Trump in the past, added his unquestionable support for President Trump’s decision, ” Bottom line. What should a President do if he/she is presented with CLEAR intelligence than an enemy is about to carry out an attack that would kill hundreds of American troops?”

“I know what I want him/her to do. What President Trump did.”

Today, New York Times journalist Farnaz Fassihi tweeted about the decision by the Iraqi parliament today to expel U.S. forces from Iraq.

Farnaz Fassihi added, “Prime Minister Abdul Mahdi: ‘It’s time for American troops to leave.'”

In October 2018, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) tweeted a warning about a Washington Post article that (of course) was misreporting the truth about the selection of the new Iraqi Prime Minister and President Abdul Mahdi. Rubio called Iran the “clear winner,” adding, “IRGC leader Soleimani personally brokered this deal. Rubio called it a “major and troubling development.”

Vote today by #Iraq govt & statements from lame duck PM of Iraq is no surprise. Below I am RT what I said 15 months ago back in October of 2018.

Senator Rubio tweeted information about the Kurds and Sunnis, who boycotted the vote to expel U.S. forces from Iraq, a point that Rubio claims, the mainstream media is underreporting.

Important information under reported in Western media about “vote” to expel US from #Iraq Appears Kurdish & Sunni blocs in parliament boycotted the session. If true it doesn’t just reveal sectarian divide over U.S. presence, it prevents quorum needed for vote to be binding.

Press TV showed video footage of the Iraqi parliament vote they called “historic” that would expel U.S. forces from their country. Cheers of “Alluha Akbar” can be heard from the rowdy group.

It’s sad that Americans are unable to get the truth about this very serious issue from our media. Instead of telling the truth about what’s happening in Iraq, the media is focused on how they can damage Trump’s chances of reelection by framing the crisis with Iran in such a way that it will harm his credibility with voters.
