A school shooting has occurred at Antioch High School located outside of Nashville, Tennessee.
The Metro Nashville Police Department reported, “Three people have been wounded, including the suspect, who shot himself.”
The school shooting prompted an immediate lockdown “due to shots being fired inside the school building.”
The Metro Nashville Public School District released a statement sharing, “Metro Police are on the scene. The person responsible for shooting is no longer a threat. This is an active crime scene and investigation. We will work with the MNPD to provide further updates as they become available.”
UPDATE: A student at Antioch High School opened fire in the cafeteria injuring 2 people and then shooting himself.
The school is under lockdown and Metro PD confirm that the threat is contained.
