After 31 years of marriage, Todd Palin is apparently calling it quits with Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska and 2008 vice-presidential candidate.

According to Anchorage Daily News, a document filed Friday in Anchorage Superior Court, Todd Palin, 55, asked to dissolve the marriage, citing an “incompatibility of temperament between the parties such that they find it impossible to live together as husband and wife.”

The divorce filing uses initials rather than full names, but identifies the couple’s marriage date and the birth date of their only child who is a minor, Trig Palin. The filing asks for joint legal custody of the child.

Anchorage attorney Kimberlee Colbo is representing Todd Palin in the divorce. In a filing, Colbo said she would ask the court to designate the divorce confidential as it moves forward.

Former Alaska governor, Sarah Palin, rose to fame when Senator John McCain stunned the Republican Party after he chose outspoken conservative to be his running mate in his bid to become president in 2008. From the first night he announced his pick for V.P., Palin overshadowed McCain, causing a rift between the two of them.

Palin, who was the youngest person to ever be elected as governor of the state of Alaska, is an avid sportsman and mother of five children. Her youngest son has downs syndrome. She became the self-appointed spokesperson for the Tea Party after Barack Obama defeated John McCain in 2008.

The Palin family has been mired in controversy since Sarah rose to prominence in the conservative movement.

In March 2016, Todd Palin survived a horrible snowmobile accident in Alaska.

In December 2017, the eldest son of ex-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin beat the daylights out of his own father after he broke into his parents home in a drunken rage, according to documents released by local police.

Track Palin, 28, was busted Saturday and charged with first-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault and criminal mischief, and remains in custody.

A court document said that the younger Palin wanted to visit the home to retrieve a truck.

But his father, Todd Palin, told him to stay away because Track Palin was drunk and on pain medication, according to a police affidavit and charging documents obtained by the Los Angeles Times.

“Track told him he was [going to] come anyway to beat his ass,” according to an affidavit filed by Wasilla Police Officer Adam LaPointe.

Todd Palin answered the door armed with a pistol when his son arrived, but Track broke a window to get into the house and then started savagely beating him, cops said.

The younger Palin threw his dad to the ground and hit him repeatedly on the head, leaving him covered in blood and with a liquid oozing from his ear, the documents said.

Sarah Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, called police at 8:30 p.m. and said her son was “freaking out and was on some type of medication.”

When cops arrived, they saw the parents fleeing the house in separate vehicles, Todd Palin with blood running down his face and Sarah Palin looking “visibly upset,” the paper reported.

Police confronted Track Palin, who called them “peasants,” and told them to lay down their weapons, according to the documents. Eventually, Palin left the house and was handcuffed.

He told cops that had told his father to shoot him several times, according to the documents. – NYP

Please pray for their family.
