Hillbilly Elegy author and conservative Republican candidate for US Senate, JD Vance, has won a very tough primary election in Ohio.
JD’s victory was being called a huge litmus test for Trump’s ability to affect the outcome of important elections across America. With over 72% of the numbers across Ohio being reported, the NYT’s is calling Vance the winner of the Republican primary.
On April 26, Trump visited Ohio to show his support for JD Vance:

On Sunday, JD was interviewed by Pete Hedgeseth of Fox News, where he was asked about his Trump endorsement.

Donald Trump Jr. also actively campaigned for Vance in Ohio:
The same pro-China group funding career politician @JoshMandelOhio, spent $10 million to stop Trump in 2016 & are spending millions today to stop @JDVance1.
JD stands with MAGA on using tariffs against China, while Mandel is owned by the weak on China RINO establishment. #OHSen pic.twitter.com/Q3eQU96WJi

This morning, Roger Sollenberger of the Daily Beast mocked Vance’s chances of winning while mocking President Trump’s ability to influence voters. It looks like Sollenberger’s got some egg to wash off his face tonight.
Last night, after Trump watered down his JD Vance endorsement for the second time, I went to Vance’s hometown and met zero people who were going to vote for him. Me @thedailybeast https://t.co/SdJa7VCPPt
