President Trump finally released a statement to call out Dr. Deborah Birx and Dr. Anthony Fauci for trying to reinvent history with self-promoting swipes at him. It’s about time because the two politically compromised doctors have been all over the place slamming President Trump’s response to the pandemic.
Recently, Dr. Birx and Dr. Fauci had spoken out to blame President Trump for several things that happened during the pandemic. The very unprofessional statements by both doctors make them look petty. It’s no secret that President Trump had huge success with Operation Warp Speed. Getting vaccines out in record time was one of the president’s biggest successes. He commented in his statement about that success:
We developed American vaccines by an American President in record time, nine months, which is saving the entire world. We bought billions of dollars of these vaccines on a calculated bet that they would work, perhaps the most important bet in the history of the world. Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx moved far too slowly, and if it were up to them, we’d currently be locked in our basements as our country suffered through a financial depression. Families, and children, in particular, would be suffering the mental strains of this disaster like never before.
The statement from President Trump slammed both doctors:
“Based on their interviews, I felt it was time to speak up about Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx, two self-promoters trying to reinvent history to cover for their bad instincts and faulty recommendations, which I fortunately almost always overturned. They had bad policy decisions that would have left our country open to China and others, closed to reopening our economy, and years away from an approved vaccine—putting millions of lives at risk.”
Trump really went after Dr. Birx, who has expressed regret in recent weeks for how she handled the pandemic policies:
“Dr. Birx is a proven liar with very little credibility left. The States who followed her lead, like California, had worse outcomes on Covid and ruined the lives of countless children because they couldn’t go to school, ruined many businesses, and an untold number of Americans who were killed by the lockdowns themselves,” Trump added. Dr. Birx was a terrible medical advisor, which is why I seldom followed her advice.”
Interviews from Dr. Birx and Dr. Fauci aired yesterday and are part of an upcoming special by CNN. Yes, CNN will be bashing former President Trump with a hindsight critique from two politically compromised doctors. No rebuttal will be allowed on-air as this is another propaganda-filled moment from CNN.
