New reports from several sources are saying Jeffrey Epstein’s jailers falsified reports that they checked on him every 30 minutes the night of his death.

According to the Daily Mail, investigators had learned that checks were not done for several hours before Epstein was found unresponsive in his jail cell.

The New York Times is also reporting that the corrections officers slept for three hours during their watch and then falsified records.

The union boss for the correctional officers is defending the guards by saying the employees at the Manhattan prison are overworked.

The big problem with this is that Epstein was a very high profile prisoner with a target on his back.

According to the NYT, the two guards assigned to Epstein have been put on leave while authorities investigate what happened the night Epstein died. The prison warden has also been reassigned.

Epstein had been on suicide watch after an attempted suicide on July 23rd. He was taken off a week later but was supposed to be checked on every thirty minutes. The protocol of having a roommate for someone who had just been taken off of suicide watch was not followed. Epstein was alone in his cell.

Rudy Giuliani spoke with Bill Hemmer about the Epstein death: “There is absolutely no excuse for this.”
