It was previously reported by Fox News that Vice President Mike Pence was on his way to a roundtable in New Hampshire when his plane was called back to DC for an unspecified reason.

It now appears as though VP Pence hadn’t left DC on Air Force Two yet when he was called on to remain in DC and cancel the trip.

A senior White House official has reported that the issue isn’t health-related to VP Pence or President Trump.

The event in New Hampshire has been canceled.

Fox News first reported that the VP was on his way to New Hampshire:

Pence had been scheduled to hold a roundtable on the opioid crisis in Salem that will now be rescheduled. An announcement was made on the loudspeaker that Air force Two had been diverted because of an emergency in DC but this is not the case.

A Representative from VP Pence’s office attending the event said, “We do have a situation where the vice president was called back to Washington.” Another spokesman specifically said Pence needed to go back to the White House.

President Trump is in DC but has no events scheduled for today.
