Superstar boxer and Hollywood celebrity Mike Tyson is being sued for $5 million for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in New York.

The woman, who still remains anonymous, said that Tyson picked her and a friend up in a limousine and made repeated sexual advances on her even after she attempted to deny them.

The victim was able to file a lawsuit under newly enacted legislation in New York that allows sexual assault victims to find civil redress even after the criminal statute of limitations expires.

Tyson was convicted of sexually assaulting Desiree Washington in 1992, resulting in a 3-year prison sentence.

Some have speculated that Washington is the person suing Tyson for psychological, emotional, and physical injury resulting from the rape.

Despite his conviction, Tyson has continued to defend his innocence in the 1992 incident.

A woman is suing boxing legend Mike Tyson for $5 million after accusing him of violently raping her inside a limousine in the early 1990s.

The plaintiff, who has so far remained anonymous, filed legal documents in Albany in Jan. 2023, saying she suffered from “physical, psychological, and emotional injury” following the alleged rape, according to the New York Post. The woman alleges she met Tyson at a nightclub called “Septembers” in Albany, but did not provide the exact date of her alleged attack. She is seeking $5 million in damages, according to the New York Post.

Tyson allegedly invited the woman into his limousine after offering to pick up her friend and take them both to a party. She alleges that Tyson came on to her as soon as they were in the vehicle and began touching her and attempting to kiss her, according to the New York Post.
