Every day the government is shut down, the Democrat Party loses a little more credibility with the American voters. The longer the shutdown drags out, the more Democrat leadership is going to be forced to have to explain to the American people why they refuse to fund a wall to protect our southern border from foreign invaders.
Yesterday, Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi tweeted a letter she sent to President Trump, asking him to delay his State of The Union speech to the American people until the government reopens. In her letter, Pelosi cited “security concerns” surrounding the scheduled event. In her letter, Pelosi suggested the reason the Secret Service would be unable to effectively do their jobs to protect the President and the lawmakers, is due to the government shutdown.
Today, I wrote to @realDonaldTrump recommending that we delay the State of the Union until after government re-opens, as the @SecretService, the lead federal agency for #SOTU security, faces its 26th day without funding. https://t.co/K2oL8WGvqo pic.twitter.com/g3fIlxDbbK

Immediately after the Speaker of the House went public with her letter to President Trump, informing him that she would be postponing his State of the Union speech, the Secret Service announced that they haven’t spoken with the Speaker and that they are fully prepared to handle the security at the SOTU event.
Does Nancy think anyone believes her when she cites “security concerns” as a reason to shut down Trump’s address to the nation? Her request to delay President Trump’s SOTU speech is an embarrassing attempt by Democrats to keep President Trump from appearing before the entire country, as he stands in front of the United States Congress, in a clear position of power, as Nancy is forced to sit behind him, powerless to object to a single word he says.
Are Nancy and her fellow Democrats concerned about President Trump using his upcoming SOTU speech to expose the hypocrisy of the Democrats who used to be in favor of funding a wall on our southern border, before Trump made the promise of building a wall on our southern border, the cornerstone of his candidacy?
Democrat leaders know, that if they can stop President Trump from fulfilling his promise of building the wall on our southern border to Americans, it will be their best chance to defeat him in 2020. Meanwhile, for their part, the Democrat Party-aligned media refuses to demand Democrat leaders explain their opposition to funding the wall to the American people.
Now, the awesome Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has a solution to the Speaker’s calculated move to silence the President of the United States.
Rand Paul tweeted about a possible option for President Trump that would allow him to address the American people about his amazing successes and the status of the crisis on our southern border.
Senator Paul tweeted:
Senator McConnell is in charge of the Senate. If Mrs. Pelosi refuses to allow the president to deliver the State of the Union in the House, I propose we move it to the Senate and make it happen!
