Patti LuPone, a Broadway star who is infamous for having a hot temper, was recorded screaming at an audience member whose mask had slipped below their nose.
Following a performance of LuPone’s musical “Company,” the actress – who was not wearing a mask – spotted a patron who was not adhering to her standard of a proper mask covering and lost her mind.
“Put your mask over your nose, that’s why you’re in the theater! That is the rule!” yelled LuPone. “If you don’t want to follow the rule, GET THE F*** OUT!”
The audience begins to cheer and LuPone keeps screaming at the theatergoer, “Who do you think you are? That you do not respect the people who are sitting around you.”
“I pay your salary!” the audience member yelled back.
LuPone scoffed and shot back, “Bullsh*t, Chris Harper pays my salary. Who do you think you are?!”
LuPone has a horrible history of mistreating her supporters. In 2009, at a performance of “Gypsy,” the actress screamed at an audience member who took a photo of the production.
She acted like a self-absorbed lunatic again in 2015 when she saw an audience member texting during a production of “Shows for Days,” when, in the middle of the performance, LuPone ripped the cellphone out of their hands.
