Authorities are investigating after Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez’s (D-NY) campaign office in the Bronx was vandalized.
Police said AOC’s Westchester Square campaign office was doused in red paint.
“Last night, our campaign office in the Bronx was vandalized and we are in the processing of cleaning it up. Our office is a hub in the community and we want it to be a safe space for all of our neighbors,” campaign manager Oliver Hidalgo-Wohlleben said.
“In the past few days, we also have received multiple threats on the Congresswoman’s life and we are treating this seriously with our security partners to make sure she, our staff, and volunteers are safe,” he continued.

The act of vandalism included a message criticizing AOC for voting against an amendment to strip funding for Israel’s missile defense systems.
More details from POLITICO:
Video captured by local news outlets in New York showed the message “AOC funds genocide in Gaza” written on a sign hanging in front of her campaign office in the Bronx, along with red paint splattered on the building’s face.
Ocasio-Cortez has repeatedly criticized Israel’s military campaign in Gaza, including labelling it a “genocide.” But on Friday, she voted against an amendment to the defense spending bill offered by Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Green that would have stripped funding for Israel’s missile defense systems. Ocasio-Cortez ultimately voted against the defense spending bill.
Her vote on the amendment provoked pushback from progressives. In a statement following the vote, the Democratic Socialists of America condemned her opposition to the amendment, which they view as support for Israel’s “eliminationist campaign against the Palestinian people.”
“The Democratic Socialists of America stand in unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people in their ongoing struggle for liberation and against the United States-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza. This means opposing any and all funding to Israel as it continues its genocide, including a full arms embargo. An arms embargo means keeping all arms out of the hands of a genocidal military, no exceptions,” the Democratic Socialists of America said in its statement.
“This is why we oppose Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ vote against an amendment that would have blocked $500 million in funding for the Israeli military’s Iron Dome program. While the Congresswoman voted against the defense appropriations bill itself, voting against funding for the imperialist military-industrial complex and the Israeli genocide, we were further deeply disappointed by her clarifying statement on her position on the Iron Dome,” the statement continued.
“Along with other US-funded interceptor systems, the Iron Dome has emboldened Israel to invade or bomb no less than five different countries in the past two years,” it added.

“F–K AOC,” a group known as the Boogie Down Liberation Front told reporter Ashoka Jegroo while taking responsibility for the vandalism.
ADVERTISEMENT“The Bronx is sick and tired of people like AOC and Ritchie Torres using us as a stepping stone for their own political careers,” the group said in a statement.
“The Bronx stands with the people of Palestine and we denounce the hypocrisy of AOC who voted to fund Israel’s ongoing genocide and starvation campaign in Gaza. F–K AOC!”
The lefty congresswoman has been taking heat from her progressive supporters after she voted against an amendment for the Department of Defense Appropriations Act proposed by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) on Friday that sought to cut $500 million from Israel’s air defense systems.
The amendment, which was emphatically spiked 6-422, was supported by Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Ocasio-Cortez’s progressive “Squad” pals, including Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.).
The House of Representatives ultimately passed the bill early Friday 221-209, allocating some $832 billion in defense funding for fiscal year 2026, including a boost in pay for troops as well as increased research and development spending.
