Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, 44,  has tested positive for coronavirus. It is being reported by the BBC that she had mild flu-like symptoms, including a low fever. The Canadian PM Justin Trudeau and his wife will be self-isolating for 14 days. PM Trudeau is the first world leader to be in quarantine even though he has no symptoms. His office released a statement saying he “will continue to fully assume his duties and will address Canadians tomorrow.”

The Prime Minister’s office had announced the PM’s wife was being tested on Tuesday and later released an announcement that she tested positive.

Mrs. Trudeau also released a personal message:

She had just returned from the WE Day UK Charity event and concert in the UK.

PM Trudeau has announced an aid package for Canada to help handle the coronavirus.
