A volcano on the Caribbean island of St. Vincent erupted on Friday, spewing hot ash and lava all over the island.

La Soufriere eruption on the Caribbean Island of St. Vincent on April 9th 2020

Roughly 16,000 people live in the red zone of the eruption of La Soufriere which hasn’t erupted since 1979.  Mandatory evacuation was begun by the local government.  However, according to a report from CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell, cruise ships will only be evacuated people who have been “vaccinated against Covid.”

The Prime Minister held a press conference in which he insisted that “people have to be vaccinated if they go aboard a cruise ship or are granted temporary refuge in another island.”

What do you think of this?  Is this a sign of things to come?  Can laws be made to prevent such discrimination in American cities and states?
