Biden claims that religion doesn’t say when life begins… despite Catholic teachings and common sense

Biden, who claims to be Catholic, made the claim that no “mainstream” religions know when life begins. This is very clearly false and contradictory of his alleged Catholic faith and upbringing.

This statement comes in light of the leaked decision from the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v Wade, allowing states to freely ban abortion.

From Catholic News Agency:

“Roe says what all basic mainstream religions have historically concluded, that the existence of a human life and being is a question,” Biden told reporters at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. “Is it at the moment of conception? Is it six months? Is it six weeks? Is it quickening, like Aquinas argued?”

However, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, or USCCB maintains that the Catholic Church’s position on life’s conception has been consistent from the start.

St. Thomas Aquinas in the 13th century drew from Aristotle, including his theory that the rational human soul is not present at the start of pregnancy, the USCCB says. But, at the same time, the saint rejected abortion as gravely wrong at every stage, calling it a sin “against nature” to reject God’s gift of life.

Quickening, the point in which Aquinas argues a rational human soul begins, is the point in which a child starts to move within their mother’s womb.

Biden has claimed to be both Catholic and pro-abortion at the same time, which is an inherently contradictory position. The Catholic Church has been clear on their stance that abortion is an evil act which destroys an inherently valuable human life from the beginning.

“Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception,” the catechism of the Catholic Church reads. “From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person — among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.”

Ignoring this, the fake Catholic goes on to state his intent to, with the help of more “pro-choice” Senators and Representatives, codify Roe into law.

Biden, who once claimed to believe that life begins at conception, is intent on becoming one of infanticide’s greatest proponents.
