Even when the Democratic Party pays lip service to God, it generally involves a politically correct, supposedly “inclusive” message that waters down the actual teachings of the Judeo-Christian faith.

That appeared to be the case during this week’s Democratic National Convention, when Chicago Cardinal Blase Cupich delivered an invocation while hiding the cross around his neck and shying away from even mentioning the name of Jesus.

Harrison Butker, the NFL kicker who courted controversy by touting his Catholic faith during a college graduation commencement address earlier this year, bristled in response to Cupich’s prayer.

According to the Daily Wire:

In a Tuesday post on X, the Chiefs star shared a clip from the first night of the 2024 DNC in Chicago with Roman Catholic Cardinal Blase Cupich at the podium giving the opening prayer and the religious leader’s pectoral cross could not be seen because it was tucked inside the Cardinal’s jacket.

“America needs more Jesus not less,” Butker’s post read. “We need our shepherds to fearlessly lead and not be afraid to proclaim that Christ is King.”

“It starts with bishops boldly wearing their pectoral cross outside their jackets,” he added.

Butker wasn’t the only one displeased by the DNC display.

LifeNews provided additional coverage of the cardinal’s invocation:

The Democratic National Convention began its first day in prayer — but not one that mentioned the Name of Jesus Christ or displayed the symbol associated with His death and resurrection. The invocation, offered by Roman Catholic Cardinal Blase J. Cupich of the Archdiocese of Chicago, exhorted the faithful “to root out ongoing injustices in our national life, especially those created by moral blindness and fear of the other” and to forge a “new chapter of our nation’s history.” Although Cupich did not mention Jesus, he did, however, quote Pope Francis.

Here’s a clip from Butker’s attention-grabbing speech:

Here was my full breakdown of the prayer:

EXPOSED: Catholic Bishop’s Disgusting “Prayer” From DNC Night One Absolutely Ripped To Shreds…

Did you catch the Opening Prayer from Night 1 of the DNC?

If not, I’m here to show it to you.

Because this is bad.

Actually, they called it an “Invocation” instead of a prayer, and that may be more accurate because I’m not sure what they were “invoking” but it certainly wasn’t Christianity.

First of all, the “Catholic Priest” seems to have not been bothered at all by the Abortion Mill literally operating outside the convention hall….guess he just missed that part?

Then we have Lin Wood pointing out a very key line….

In his prayer, he says we are not united by blood — what a strange line — because as Lin Wood points out, the core, central tenet of Christianity is that we are united in Christ’s blood:

Oops, guess he just forgot about that.

But speaking of Jesus, I listened to the full “prayer” and there was not one single mention of Jesus in the whole prayer.

Not one.

That’s VERY intentional.

These demons pray to a “god” and “lord” but it sure ain’t who Christians pray to!

They use those words very intentionally so they can pray to THEIR god, who is actually Lucifer.

They’ve been doing it for decades, and the masses fall for it every time.

Here is the full 3:51 minute prayer and listen especially at the end where a normal pastor would say something like “we pray all of these things in Jesus’ name” (because that is how the Bible teaches us to pray) and he starts to say something like that and then pauses and awkwardly ends the prayer with NO mention of Jesus.  Watch here:

What else did I notice?

Let’s do a rapid fire list of everything that made my skin crawl:

“Quicken in us a resolve to protect your handiwork” — wow, in the first 48 seconds of the prayer.  A resolve to protect God’s handiwork?  Like, what Bish?  Like DEFENSELESS BABIES?  You didn’t honestly just say that at the DNC prayer, did you?  Are you for real?

“….the sacred call of Citizenship…” — sorry, but there is nothing in the Bible that describes “citizenship” as sacred.  In fact, the Bible constantly tells us we are not citizens of this world.  Massive fail, and blasphemous.

“…united not by ties of blood…” — already discussed above.

“….but united by the profound aspirations of life and freedom” — really?  Do you think all those defenseless babies killed in the womb had aspirations of life?  How about all the rioting and looting and killing done by criminals both in the Democrat party and those killers imported by the Democrat party illegally into this country?  Do you think all the Americans they have killed had aspirations of life and freedom?

“…we do so when we live out the virtues that dwell in our hearts…” — another swing and a miss!  The Bible consistently preaches to NOT lean on your own understanding and NOT trust the deceitful heart.  Here are just 6 verses that the Bishop might want to study up on:

  • Jeremiah 17:9 (NIV)
    • “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?”
  • Proverbs 28:26 (NIV)
    • “Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe.”
  • Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)
    • “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
  • Mark 7:21-23 (NIV)
    • “For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance, and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
  • Matthew 15:19 (NIV)
    • “For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.”
  • Proverbs 16:25 (NIV)
    • “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.”

“we pray for peace” — then why does the Democrat party have us engaged in new wars all over the world right now?  Why are we sending hundreds of billions to Ukraine to continue to stoke that war?  The Democrat Party is the party of war!  And you pray for peace?  You’re speaking to the wrong room Padre!

“we must promote unity over division…” — nice idea, just not Biblical.  Jesus actually preached something radically different.  Do you know your scriptures?  This “Bishop” does not:

  • Matthew 10:34-36
“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’”
  • Luke 12:51-53
“Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”
  • Matthew 10:21
“Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.”
  • Mark 13:12
“Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.”
  • Luke 14:26
“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.”

No mention of Jesus, but he did have time to quote Pope Francis!

And the ending….

“…we ask all of this [in Jesus’ name], trusting in your ever provident care for us, Amen.”  — a very fitting and horrible end.  The red text is what he so glaringly obviously missed, which was extremely intentional.

No Jesus, but Pope Francis gets a big shout out.

DEMONIC to it’s core.

This man is not Christian, I’ll go ahead and say that.

Any true Christian Pastor who is given a platform to speak to millions (or at least thousands) of Americans would seize that moment and give glory and honor to Jesus Christ.

This buffoon wouldn’t even utter his name.

One more scripture for the Bish before I go:

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’”
Matthew 7:21-23 (ESV)

You know what’s really funny (and sad)?

The Bishop didn’t even rise to the level Jesus describes in this verse when he talks about the Fake Christians who will expect to get into Heaven but who will not make it.

Jesus at least assumes they will try to use his name, they will just do it dishonestly.

This Bishop couldn’t even get to that level.

Ouch.

Good luck in eternity, Bishop, I hope it was worth it to serve your Democrat/Molochian masters for 3:51 minutes….
