Major news outlets have already projected Donald Trump as the winner of the Republican Iowa caucus.
“Former President Donald Trump wins the Iowa caucuses, CNN projects, cementing his front-runner status in the GOP field,” CNN wrote.
“Now the attention turns to who wins second place, with former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis battling to emerge as a top alternative to Trump,” the outlet added.
At the time of writing, CNN has DeSantis slightly ahead of Haley for second place.
