So the Ukraine whistleblower wants to have it both ways…He wants his name to be kept secret but he’s out there soliciting funds via Go Fund Me.

A new complaint filed by the Intelligence Community Inspector General claims that the Ukraine whistleblower may have violated federal law for soliciting funds on Go Fund Me:

Fox News reports that the complaint says the donations from roughly 6,000 individuals “clearly constitute” gifts to a current intelligence official that may be restricted because of the employee’s official position pursuant to 5 CFR 2635.203 and other statutes. To date, the GoFundMe has raised over $227,000.

Fox News reported in September that the nonprofit Whistleblower Aid worked with the whistleblower’s attorneys at the Compass Rose Legal Group to start the GoFundMe.

The Go Fund Me says donations will be taken only from US citizens but most donations have been anonymous. To date, over 6k people have donated!

Isn’t this “weaponizing” the whistleblower by funding his lawyers? What do you think about this federal employee taking money via Go Fund Me?
