Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said Senator Mitch McConnell is “not fit for office” after the 81-year-old legislator froze during a Wednesday press conference.
“Severe aging health issues and/or mental health incompetence in our nation’s leaders MUST be addressed. Biden, McConnell, Feinstein, and Fetterman are examples of people who are not fit for office and it’s time to be serious about it,” Greene said.
“These politician’s staff and family members should be ashamed of themselves by enabling and allowing their loved ones to remain in office all to hold power. We are talking about our country’s national security and it’s all at stake! 25th amendment and other measures need to be on the table,” she added.

Wednesday’s episode is the latest incident where Mitch McConnell froze while speaking in public.
Forbes reports:
McConnell’s Wednesday freeze came just weeks after a similar incident in which he froze up suddenly while talking to reporters in D.C., which sparked questions about his health and ability to hold office. After the first freeze, an aide said the senator felt “lightheaded and stepped away for a moment,” though he returned to keep answering questions. The freezes in speech aren’t McConnell’s only health problems in recent years. In 2019, he fell outside his home in Kentucky and fractured his shoulder, and he took another fall this past March at a hotel in Washington, D.C. That fall left him with a concussion and broken rib, forcing him to take six weeks away from the Senate. McConnell was first elected to the Senate in 1985 and was the chamber’s majority leader from 2015 to 2021. Feinstein and Fetterman were also away from the Senate earlier this year: Feinstein took time off due to shingles, while Fetterman was hospitalized for depression.

Mitch McConnell stopped speaking and froze at the podium today.
…he had to be physically walked back behind closed doors.

However, that wasn’t the only recent episode.
WLTReport noted:
After freezing on camera, McConnell tried to laugh it off with a poorly-written joke.
“Well the president called to check on me. I told him I got sandbagged,” McConnell said.
When asked how he’s feeling, McConnell blankly stared into the distance and said “I’m fine.”
“After suffering a stroke on camera Mitch McConnell tries to laugh it off with a joke hastily written by his staff then proceeds to immediately freeze up again and stare off into the middle distance,” political commentator Benny Johnson wrote.
“McConnell is unwell. He is a cancer on the GOP. Resign,” Johnson added.
