Well, this is bad.

It turns out Elon Musk was wrong….GASP!

That’s it, party’s over.  Credibility ruined!  No more DOGE!

I’m being sarcastic, of course, but I’m pretty sure that’s what this reporter thought when she was sure she’s finally cornered Elon Musk and caught him in a huge lie!

The reporter is so proud of herself telling Elon that he said USAID sent $50M worth of condoms to Gaza, but they ACTUALLY went to Gaza, Mozambique!  BOOM!  ROASTED!

Elon’s response was perfect…

These are big numbers—about one hundred to two hundred billion dollars a year. You said on X that one example of the fraud you cited was that fifty million dollars’ worth of condoms were sent to Gaza. However, after fact-checking, it appears they were sent to Gaza in Mozambique, and the program was designed to protect against HIV. Can you correct your statements?

And how can we ensure that all the statements you made are correct so that we can trust what you say?

Interviewee:
Well, first of all, some of the things I say will be incorrect and should be corrected—nobody is going to bat a thousand. I mean, we will make mistakes, but we’ll act quickly to correct them. So, if I’m not sure whether we should be sending fifty million dollars’ worth of condoms anywhere, frankly, I’m not sure that’s something Americans would be really excited about.

And that is really an enormous number of condoms if you think about it. But if they went to Mozambique instead of Gaza, I’m like, “Okay, that’s not as bad.” But still, why are we doing that…?

I see two men in President Trump and Elon Musk with supreme confidence.

Not arrogance, and neither is perfect, but I see two men standing in front of a pool of reporters and not even flinching.

You know that reporter worked all day thinking she finally had the perfect gotcha question, and Elon nonchalantly swats it away like an annoying little gnat, giving the perfect answer while distracted and holding little X on his shoulders.

President Trump sits calmly behind his desk smiling.

Trump and Elon are not even playing in the same arena as the peon reporting pool, but they still give them unfiltered access and they still answer all their questions, much the same as I answer the million questions my First Grader asks me every single day.

That’s what I see.
