I have to confess that I think Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert seem really down to earth but now it’s confirmed…What a great thing Shelton did to take the time to help a fellow American in trouble. Way to go Blake!

A southern Oklahoma man left stranded by flooding from Tropical Depression Bill found relief from an unlikely source this week: country music singer and Oklahoma native Blake Shelton.

A man named Roho Hartman told Oklahoma City NBC affiliate KFOR he was driving down an Ardmore, OK rode on Wednesday, when a trip home turned disastrous, due to flooding.

“There was a car on the other side… he went through it. I thought ‘Huh, I believe I’d make it too,’” Roho said of an attempt to navigate a flooded street.

After getting stuck, the man started pushing his broken truck up a hill when a Dodge pickup driven by none other than Blake Shelton pulled up with a towrope.

“The guy said, ‘Are you ready? I thought… that looks like Blake Shelton.’ That’s exactly what I thought, and I said, ‘Yeah! I’m ready!’” Hartman told KFOR.

The two men pulled the truck up the hill, but Hartman still needed a ride.

“I said, ‘Hey, could you give me a ride home?’ He said, ‘Where do you live?’ I said, ‘Just right over yonder,’” Roho said.

While en route in Shelton’s truck, Hartman said he got a phone call from his wife.

BLAKESHELTONS

“My wife called me. I said, ‘You wouldn’t believe it, Blake Shelton pulled me out. And he’s going to go on and bring me on home!’ I said, ‘You better slick up, we’ll be there in just a minute,’” he said.
