Justice may be coming for the young Covington student who was wrongly accused and slandered by the news media and politicians over an incident at the Lincoln Memorial in D.C.
The people who trashed Nicholas Sandmann will be wishing they hadn’t accused this young man of doing something he never did. The family just hired a high-profile lawyer known for winning big cases like this one.
Attorney L. Lin Wood is a big gun in the legal world. He has represented high profile people and according to The Washington Post “often seeks eye-popping damages for those he believes have been libeled or slandered in the press”.
Wood has spoken out in the past about the media’s feeding frenzy on a story:
“In an era of fake news, in continually deteriorating discussions of issues on social media and the Internet, these cases are vitally important to send a message to the public that there are lines you cannot cross without being held legally accountable.”
Lin Wood represented Republican candidate Herman Cain over sexual harassment allegations in 2011. Other high-profile clients are the family of Natalee Holloway, Richard Jewell and the family of JonBenet Ramsey.
Wood tweeted out to confirm the great news:
Along with their attorney Todd McMurtry @FitLwyr, I met with Nick Sandmann & his family today in Cincinnati. I have agreed to assist Todd in pursuing full legal accountability for the injustices inflicted upon this fine young man. A statement on the case will be issued tomorrow.

According to the Nicholas Sandmann family attorney, L. Lin Wood will be representing the wrongly accused Covington student:
“He is committed to bringing justice to 16-year-old Nick Sandmann and his family.” – Family Attorney Todd McMurtry
Nicholas Sandmann was targeted and is still being targeted by the media and by some politicians who continue to twist what happened in D.C. to fit their narrative. The group of young students were waiting for a bus when a group started verbally abusing them and then Sandmann was approached by a Native American loudly beating a drum. Sandmann stood his ground but did nothing. For this, he is being crucified. A smirk is a crime now? Our Orwellian society seems to think that a hat and a smirk are to be condemned.
We hope The attorney for Sandmann does everything in his power to take down those who would try and destroy a child. Not until this is done, will the media and radical politicians think twice before doing this again.
