Joe Biden is overseeing what may be the most significant foreign policy disaster since the Cuban Missile Crisis.  Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is unprecedented in Post Cold War history.  Despite this, the President has not visited the war-torn country since Russia invaded in February.

Instead, he sent his incompetent Vice President in his place to a security conference in Munich, Germany.  Today on Mother’s Day, Biden sent his wife to the war zone to visit Ukraine’s first lady.

“First Lady Jill Biden visited western Ukraine and was met by Ukrainian First Lady Olena Zelenskyy on Sunday.

“I wanted to come on Mother’s Day,” Biden told Zelenskyy when she arrived, according to reports. “I thought it was important to show the Ukrainian people that this war has to stop and this war has been brutal and that the people of the United States stand with the people of Ukraine.” She also said, “The people of the United States stand with the people of Ukraine.”

President Joe Biden did not travel with the first lady to the embattled country.

Jill Biden’s office told The Associated Press that she arrived by vehicle in the western city of Uzhhorod, located near the Slovak border. She then returned to Slovakia after her trip into Ukraine, her office told Reuters.

Zelenskyy thanked Biden for her “courageous act” and added that “we understand what it takes for the U.S. first lady to come here during a war when military actions are taking place every day, where the air sirens are happening every day—even today,” reported AP.”

Biden has pledged tens of billions of dollars in economic and military aid to Ukraine.  Top pentagon officials and military officers admit that they are incapable of tracking the equipment we sent to Ukraine.  One ex military officer who volunteered to fight in Ukraine said military aid is sitting in warehouses in Western Ukraine not being utilized.

Maybe if Biden went to Ukraine instead of sending his wife, he would know that.
