Hollywood heavyweight Robert De Niro has not at all been shy about letting the world know how he feels about President Trump, often letting his opinions fly with reckless abandon.

He’s mentioned a deep desire to punch the president in the face, called him “blatantly stupid,” a “dog,” “punk,” “pig,” “bulls**t artist,” and all kinds of other colorful adjectives.

Yes, it seems Mr. De Niro has leapt off the diving board into the deep end of crazy progressivism, and his latest comments show that he’s not coming up for air anytime soon.

The legendary actor decided to share his opinions on Roseanne Barr’s new show and her support for Trump, while also doing his part to further widen the political divide between Americans.

The Daily Caller has the details:

De Niro said he had no interest in Rosanne’s pro Trump agenda and claims he’s done opening his mind to new ways of thinking.

“I’ve never seen her show before, I didn’t know she was supporting [Donald] Trump, but I have no interest in that,” De Niro told Indiewire “We’re at a point with all of us this where it’s beyond trying to see another person’s point of view. There are ways you can talk about that, but we’re at a point where the things that are happening in our country are so bad and it comes from Trump.”

He also called America’s support for Trump a side effect of “temporary insanity” and said the country will be cured once he is voted out of office.

De Niro told Indiewire he’s concerned about the turnover rate within the White House, calling it a “serious” matter.

It’s perfectly acceptable for celebrities and actors to voice their thoughts and opinions on political matters, especially when they are asked to, as that’s their First Amendment right.

However, it sure would be nice — and helpful — if they would put aside the ridiculous overemotional knee-jerk reactions and give a well thought out reply that expresses their beliefs and concerns without the need for name calling.

These Hollywood types put little to no effort into trying to see the world from a perspective that differs from their own and the one that is hammered into them within the echo chamber of the entertainment industry.

Hearing a well reasoned, non-emotional reply to a political issue spoken in a tone of mutual respect would be a real breath of fresh air right about now.
