Well, well, well…all of the drama caused by Democrats (see below) who claimed that because it was President Trump who delayed aid to Ukraine, people died. Not true, according to a new memo by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)

The Office of Management and Budget released a new memo indicating that the Trump administration’s decision to temporarily hold military assistance to Ukraine was a “routine” practice. Yes, it was routine for the government to hold aid to review the spending and whether Ukraine complied with the U.S. policy.

According to the memo via National Review, the decision to withhold the aid was NOT political:

“The office first began discussing the aid on June 19, the day President Trump learned of the aid from an article in the Washington Examiner and questioned the wisdom of the spending. That move sent aides scrambling, according to a senior administration official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to share internal conversations.”

Rep. Zoe Lofgren tried to say it was President Trump who moved to withhold aid to Ukraine because he was losing to Biden in the polls. Laughable!

Also, what Lofgren doesn’t say is that “The first lethal deliveries came from Trump,” said Jim Townsend, deputy assistant secretary of defense for European and NATO Policy during the Obama administration.

Obama never gave Ukraine lethal weapons, but Trump did!

The Democrats forget that Obama rejected “weapons or lethal military aid to Ukraine” in 2014:

In fact, in a 2014 Wall Street Journal article there is a reference to Obama rejecting “weapons or lethal military aid to Ukraine.” Obama rejected a request from Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko for lethal aid in 2014, though the White House approved a $53 million aid package.
