During an appearance on The Today Show this morning, Democrat Governor of Michigan Gretchen Whitmer said that she believes 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden who has been accused of sexual assault by former staffer Tara Reade. Whitmer said the reason she believes Biden’s story is because of “current circumstances.”

What does she mean by “current circumstances”? Maybe she means that she believes Biden because she wants him to make her his vice president.

Listen to Whitmer below as she says so much without saying anything meaningful. It must be true that Biden is counseling Whitmer because Biden is great at saying nothing.

“It’s incumbent that we vet thoroughly, and in this moment, I think under these circumstances and in the conversations that I’ve had with the vice president, I am confident that he is who he says he is.  I believe him, and I believe that he will be a good president for the United States of America and beyond. That you know, I don’t know that there’s much more that I can add.”

Governor Whitmer is obviously taking careful steps to support Biden without ticking off the #MeToo women.
