Well, folks, the old adage ‘you reap what you sow’ has never been truer than right now.

We’ve been waving our red flags, raising our voices, and warning about the catastrophic consequences of defunding the police.

And what did we get?

Chorus of laughter, smug faces, and dismissals from the left.

But now, they’re singing a different tune, especially when their own are getting a firsthand taste of the bitter pill they’ve prescribed for the rest of us.

Case in point?

DFL Second Vice Chairwoman Shivanthi Sathanandan.

You might recognize her from her party’s relentless cries to defund the police.

But it’s a lot harder to shout those slogans when you’re lying on the ground with a broken leg and lacerations after a violent carjacking.

That’s right!

Sathanandan and her children became the latest victims of Minneapolis’s crime wave—a crime wave her own party has inadvertently fostered.

She recalls the traumatic event on Facebook: “Four very young men, all carrying guns, beat me violently down to the ground in front of our kids.”

All of this happening in broad daylight, for crying out loud!

Our hearts go out to her and her family, truly.

No one should have to experience such a terrifying ordeal.

But it’s worth pointing out the harsh reality: this is the future that certain political ideologies have been pushing for.

Now that the beast of crime is at their own doorstep, will they finally acknowledge the truth?

The reality is, their misguided policies aren’t just affecting party operatives like Sathanandan.

Regular folks, everyday Americans, are dealing with the repercussions of their decisions.

We don’t say this out of gloating.

We say this with a genuine plea: It’s time for a re-evaluation.

Before more mothers, fathers, children, and neighbors fall victim to the very policies that were supposed to ‘protect’ them.

Let’s get real about crime, shall we?

Local KSTP news confirms:

DFL Second Vice Chairwoman Shivanthi Sathanandan said she was injured after being attacked by a group of armed men who carjacked her in the driveway of her Folwell neighborhood home around 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

“Yesterday my children and I were violently car jacked in the driveway of our home in Minneapolis. Four very young men, all carrying guns, beat me violently down to the ground in front of our kids. The young men held our neighbors up at gunpoint when they ran over and tried to help me. All in broad daylight,” Sathanandan said in a post on Facebook Wednesday night. “Look at my face in the picture. This is the face of a mother who just had the s*** beaten out of her. A mother whose only thought was ‘let me run far enough so that my kids have a chance to get away.’”

Sathanandan said she suffered a broken leg, deep lacerations on her head, and cuts and bruises all over her body.

Isn’t it ironic when those who advocate for one thing get a heaping spoonful of reality served right back to them?

Time and time again, the Democrats, in their grand vision for ‘change,’ have championed the notion of being anti-police.

But what does that stance really mean? One has to wonder: By distancing themselves from the police, are they unknowingly cuddling up to crime?

One would think this glaring connection would be all over the mainstream media.

Yet, crickets.

If the shoe were on the other foot and it was a Republican who faced the direct consequences of their policies, rest assured, it’d be breaking news with 24/7 coverage.

Where is that same energy now?

Enter the scene: Shivanthi Sathanandan.

She proudly flaunts her title as the ‘2nd Vice Chair, Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party’ on Twitter.

And recently, she shared a harrowing experience of a violent attack that left her with a broken leg, deep lacerations, and an array of cuts and bruises.

A terrible ordeal, no doubt.

But here’s where the twist lies: Ms. Sathanandan, in her not-so-hidden past, has voiced anti-police sentiments.

The very people she may have needed the most during her traumatic incident are the ones she’s been quite vocal against.

Now, isn’t that a case of karmic justice?

Twitchy has more details on the story:

Shivanthi Sathanandan describes herself on Twitter as ‘2nd Vice Chair, Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party’—which is what the Democratic Party calls itself in Minnesota. And we learned today that she was pretty viciously attacked:

The rest of the post says “She says she suffered a broken leg, deep lacerations on her head and cuts and bruises all over her body.”

[…]

But it also turns out that Ms. Sathanandan is also a bit of an anti-police activist.

Of course, we wish no harm upon anyone.

Every citizen deserves safety and security.

But there’s a lesson to be learned here: Maybe it’s time for the Democrats to re-evaluate their stance, and maybe, just maybe, it’s time for the media to stop playing favorites and shine a light on the glaring hypocrisy that’s right in front of them.
