On Saturday night, House Democratic whip Katherine Clark’s transgender ‘daughter’ was arrested after assaulting a police officer and defacing a monument at an Antifa riot in Boston.

Riley Dowell (born as a male named Jared Dowell), 23, joined a group of anti-police protestors at the Parkman Bandstand Monument in the Boston Common. When police officers arrived at the scene, they witnessed Dowell spray painted “No Cop City” and “ACAB” (All Cops Are Bastards) on the monument.

According to the Boston Police Department, as the officers began to arrest Dowell, a group of protestors surrounded the officers “while screaming profanities through megaphones on the public street causing traffic to come to a standstill.”

Then, “an officer was hit in the face and could be seen bleeding from the nose and mouth.” This was allegedly a result of Dowell “flailing her arms” and striking an officer in the face.

Dowell was arrested and charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon, destruction or injury of personal property, and damage of property by graffiti/tagging.

On Sunday, House minority whip Clark addressed the incident in a tweet, saying, “Last night, my daughter was arrested in Boston, Massachusetts. I love Riley, and this is a very difficult time in the cycle of joy and pain in parenting. This will be evaluated by the legal system, and I am confident in that process.”

Conservative director and producer Robby Starbuck responded to Clark’s tweet, accusing her of radicalizing her child and leading him down this path. Starbuck wrote,

“Your son is a man. Is he the same child you told us about earlier this year when you said you vividly remembered your child waking up with nightmares about climate change? Maybe if you hadn’t radicalized him he wouldn’t have become an Antifa terrorist confused about gender.”

Journalist Andy Ngô also accused Clark of radicalizing Dowell and leading him to become a violent extremist. He wrote,

“You should rethink what radical ideologies you’ve nurtured around your children that allowed at least one to become an alleged violent extremist. Judging by your past tweets, you’ve embraced trans radicalism.”

The Twitter account AntifaWatch posted a tweet that revealed Dowell had organized a leftist mutual aid group, and shared that he came out as transgender two years ago.

On Monday, Dowell was released on $500 bail and ordered to stay away from Boston Common.
