Cheney has been a frequent critic of both President Trump and the Republican Party. After House Republicans booted her from her position as conference chair, she said “I will do everything I can to ensure that the former president never again gets anywhere near the Oval Office,” regarding Trump’s impeachment vote in Congress. While Cheney has been distancing herself from her own party, she has cozied up to President Biden and the Democratic Party. After Biden addressed Congress in April, Cheney was photographed giving him a fist bump. Today, on the anniversary of January 6th, Liz Cheney and her war criminal father Dick Cheney teamed up with Democrats to attack Republicans in Congress and January 6th demonstrators.
Liz and Dick Cheney visited the Capitol and condemned Republicans while cozying up to Congressional Democrats. Liz Cheney, who is currently a U.S Representative, skipped out on a memorial service honoring Georgia Senator Johnny Isakson in Atlanta to attend the partisan Jan 6 propaganda event. Dick Cheney had this to say about the January 6th unrest:
I am deeply disappointed at the failure of many members of my party to recognize the grave nature of the January 6 attacks and the ongoing threat to our nation.”

Republicans immediately took to social media to push back against Liz and Dick Cheney
Dick Cheney being warmly embraced by Democrats on the House floor is a fitting symbol of what January 6 really represents to the future of America https://t.co/HIOSDVTxYz

Liz Cheney’s father, ex-Vice President Dick Cheney, was one of the lead architects of the disastrous Iraq War. Her father has also been critical of the direction of the Republican Party. “My dad is deeply troubled about where our party is, deeply troubled about where the country is” Cheney said in August of this year. She went on to say that her father has been a “tremendous source of advice and guidance and wisdom for me.”
In 2015, Dick Cheney was one of multiple people in the Bush administration who was convicted for war crimes in the International Criminal Court with charges relating to torture and cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment.
