The Democrats are pulling out all the stops to threaten to “pack the court” if President Trump and the GOP install another Supreme Court Justice to replace Justice Ginsburg.
Former Attorney General Eric Holder threatened to expand the Supreme Court if a nominee is chosen by Trump before the election. This is how the Democrats operate…if they don’t like the rules, they change them to fit their agenda. Never forget Harry Reid and how he changed the rules on how a Justice is chosen. It has now come back to bite the Democrats.
It’s rich that Eric Holder talks about “illegitimate authority” and Jerry Nadler talk about the “public trust” in the video below:
Holder: If Republicans replace Ginsburg and create an “illegitimate majority,” then "what Democrats have to do … at a minimum … additional justices need to be placed on the Supreme Court." pic.twitter.com/23QMqqipIo

Filling the SCOTUS vacancy during a lame duck session, after the American people have voted for new leadership, is undemocratic and a clear violation of the public trust in elected officials. Congress would have to act and expanding the court would be the right place to start.

Ed Markey also put his two cents worth in on this obviously coordinated threat to President Trump:
Mitch McConnell set the precedent. No Supreme Court vacancies filled in an election year. If he violates it, when Democrats control the Senate in the next Congress, we must abolish the filibuster and expand the Supreme Court.

Interesting report from Ed O’Keefe on what Senator Schumer reportedly threatened:
