Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) was shot during a congressional softball game practice in Alexandria, Virginia in September 2017. The “deliberate attack,” on Republican lawmakers by the 66-year-old deranged Democrat, James T. Hodgkinson, stunned Americans. Hodgkinson raged against President Trump and even singled out Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) on Facebook. Scalise, who was shot multiple times in the attack, and was left clinging to his life. Two Capitol police officers and a congressional staffer were also shot during the attack by the deranged Democrat.
Yesterday, Rep. Steve Scalise stood in front of a massive crowd at the NRA-ILA convention in Indianapolis and lent his support to the pro-Second Amendment organization.
During his speech, Scalise railed on Democrats for putting criminals before American citizens.
Scalise told the audience, “They’re [Democrat lawmakers] trying to take away your rights to defend yourself, which is enshrined in our Constitution, but they want felons, who took the lives of innocent people, to be able to have the franchise to voting.” Scalise paused, “Not on our watch!” Scalise told the crowd.
Scalise didn’t’ call out a specific Democrat politician by name, but was likely referring to the push by Democrat presidential candidates like U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (VT) and Senator Kamala Harris (CA) to allow prisoners, including terrorists to vote.

While Harris didn’t’ specifically agree with Sanders, she did say that when it comes to allowing terrorists serving time in prison to vote, that “we should have that conversation.”
U.S. Congressman Steve Scalise is uniquely qualified to argue the right for U.S. citizens to be armed, as a way to defend themselves against criminals.
Watch:
Why do Democrats always seem to prioritize criminals over law abiding citizens? Now they want to give voting rights to violent criminals in prison and terrorists like the Boston Marathon bomber as they take away our 2nd Amendment right to defend ourselves.
