According to political analyst Mark Halperin, sources have alleged that Joe Biden agreed to step down as the Democratic nominee for president.

Biden could step down as early as this weekend.

He will reportedly not endorse Kamala Harris and support an open convention.

“President Joe Biden has reportedly agreed to step down as the Democratic nominee for President of the United States as early as this weekend, sources tell political analyst Mark Halperin. Biden will also reportedly endorse an open convention, and not Vice President Kamala Harris,” Newsmax wrote.

“Multiples sources outline the apparent state of play on Biden at this time,” Halperin said.

Axios reported Thursday that several top Democrats believe Biden may step down this weekend.
