BOYCOTT! Dick’s Sporting Goods has caved to the pressure of the left and decided to stop selling any type of  “assault-style weapon”. The problem is that the AR-15 does not stand for Assault Rifle!

THE AR-15 IS NOT AN ASSAULT RIFLE AND IT IS NOT A MILITARY RIFLE:

According to the National Shooting Sports Foundation, “AR” does not stand for “automatic” or “assault” rifle. It stands for “ArmaLite” — the company that created the AR in the 1950s. And failed 2015 legislation that would have banned some semi-automatic guns did not classify the AR–15 as an assault weapon.

TWO NEW IDIOTIC GUN POLICIES BY DICK’S SPORTING GOODS:

Dick’s Sporting Goods, the nation’s largest sporting goods retailer, will stop selling assault-style weapons like the one used in the Parkland, Florida, high school shooting. This knee-jerk reaction after the Florida shooting does absolutely nothing…nada. Gun owners are being shamed and nudged bit by bit to not purchase certain guns or to give up their guns. This is exactly what the left wants and is getting. This comes from the sheeple who still believe government will protect you even though they failed to protect the students at the Florida high school.

THE CEO WAS JUST ON CNN:

DICK’S RAISES AGE FOR GUN SALES:

Obviously, Dick’s has no clue that there are people under 21 who have been using guns for years. How is raising the age to buy a gun going to do anything?

WGN reports:

The company said it will also raise the minimum age for all gun sales to 21. Dick’s will not sell high-capacity magazines that allow shooters to fire far more rounds than traditional weapons without reloading, as well as other accessories used with weapons similar to the AR-15.

The Parkland shooter, Nikolas Cruz, bought a gun at Dick’s. The company said he did not buy the AR-15 that he used in the school shooting there.

The company stopped selling those military-style semiautomatic weapons in its Dick’s-branded stores after the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting in 2012, but it continued to sell those weapons at its 35 Field and Stream stores.

Now it will pull those weapons from all of its stores.

Walmart, the nation’s largest retailer and a major seller of firearms, announced it would stop selling the military-style semiautomatic weapons in August 2015.

There have been widespread calls for tougher gun control measures in the week since the school shooting.
