Hypocrite and self-important squad member, Cori Bush (D-Mo), is willing to spend the big bucks to protect herself from the great unwashed masses, but still insists the little people don’t need the protection provided by policemen.

Claiming that she’s faced threats and feared for her life, Ms. Bush plans to continue to spend thousands of dollars in personal security saying, “‘I’m going to make sure I have security because, I know, I have had attempts on my life,” She told CBS News in an interview outside the Capitol. “And I have too much work to do, there are too many people that need help right now, for me to allow that.”

“So if I end up spending $200,000 – if I spend $10 more on it – you know what, I get to be here to do the work. So suck it up,” she added incredulously believing that her own life matters above those she took an oath to represent and protect.

The Daily Mail reports,

Bush, a 45-year-old mother of two, spent $69,120 in ‘security services’ from April 15 to June 28, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission.

She questioned when asked about criticism over her spending on Thursday: ‘They would rather I die? You would rather me die?’

‘Is that what you want to see?’ Bush continued in awe. ‘You know, because that could be the alternative.’

The security payments over the month-and-a-half were made to New York-based RS&T Security Consulting LLC and a Nathaniel Davis of St. Louis, Missouri.

Bush added in her Thursday interview: ‘Defunding the police has to happen.’

‘We need to defund police and put that money into social safety nets,’ the freshman congresswoman from Missouri said.

Thankfully, Republicans let her have it!

“You are a hypocrite and an elitist,” Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) tweeted in response to Ms. Bush’s duplicity,

‘You don’t care about the people, you only care about you.” Taylor-Greene railed, “You want to eradicate police from existence, take away guns to leave Americans defenseless, and create lawlessness all over our country.”

Things got spicey on Twitter:

Kimberly Klacik tweeted: Wow.@CoriBush said her life matters but other lives do not.

Nikki Haley tweeted: In just 30 seconds, Rep. @CoriBush says she’ll spend hundreds of thousands on personal security and also calls to defund the police. These Democrats care about their own safety, but not yours.

Ms. Bush recently raised eyebrows when she issued a not-so-veiled threat against a St. Lois couple that was pardoned after protecting their home from BLM trespassers.
