The party that never stops complaining about President Trump’s tone just showed America its real standard.
On Wednesday afternoon, the official Democratic National Committee account on X fired off a crude personal attack at White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller.
Miller had been mocking Texas Democrat James Talarico after Talarico won the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate in Texas.
The DNC did not answer with policy, an argument, or even a halfway clever comeback.
The official national party account told Miller to shut up and called him an “ugly f—.”
shut up you ugly fuck

That is not a random activist account.
That is the verified account of the Democratic National Committee, the same political machine that lectures the country about civility every time President Trump punches back.
Fox News laid out the timeline and the backlash after the DNC account went after Miller:
The fight started after Miller needled Talarico, the Texas Democrat who had just become his party’s Senate nominee. Miller mocked the way Democrats were presenting the candidate and framed the nomination as another sign of where the party’s base has gone.
The DNC’s official account responded with a profanity-laced personal insult aimed at Miller. That is the core fact that makes the story matter: the national Democratic Party account did not stay above the fray, did not pivot to issues, and did not even try to sound like a serious institution.
The reaction came quickly. Conservative accounts mocked the hypocrisy, pointing out that Democrats constantly complain about Trump-style combativeness while their own party account was posting crude personal abuse.
Caleb Hull, Libs of TikTok, Benny Johnson, Dana Loesch, and Katie Miller were among those highlighted as part of the backlash.
The embarrassment was not limited to conservatives. Democratic strategist Jack Appleby also criticized the DNC post as an embarrassing look for the party.
That matters because even some people on the left could see the obvious problem: the account representing the national Democratic brand had turned a political jab into a juvenile meltdown.

Caleb Hull put the hypocrisy in plain English.
Hilarious these are the same people that complain about Trump being mean https://t.co/JsCfbTu9gd

Exactly.
Democrats have spent years building an entire political identity around being the adults in the room.
They lecture the country about decorum. They clutch pearls over every Trump insult.
They act like rough political language is some kind of threat to democracy.
Then their official party account gets lightly mocked and immediately reaches for a gutter insult.
Dana Loesch summed up the political value of that strategy in one sentence.
I’m sure this will get the votes you need

This is what happens when a party has no message discipline and no believable claim to moral superiority left.
They are not winning the argument on inflation. They are not winning the argument on illegal immigration.
They are not winning the argument on crime, gender ideology, or the cultural chaos their base keeps forcing into the mainstream.
So when a top President Trump adviser pokes them, the official DNC account responds like a teenager losing a comment-section fight.
The best part is that Democrats will still turn around tomorrow and pretend MAGA is the problem with America’s tone.
They will still run to cable news and complain that Trump supporters are too harsh, too direct, too mean, too online, too combative.
But the mask slipped again.
The DNC’s own account showed everyone exactly what the party sounds like when it stops pretending.
It is not high-minded. It is not serious.
It is not adult leadership.
It is profanity in place of policy.
