Each year, Time magazine selects its “Person of the Year,” and in 2024 it only made sense to select President Trump, who became just the second American in history to be elected to two non-consecutive terms in the White House.
But for his many detractors on the left, even a landslide victory and a broad coalition of support isn’t enough to warrant such an honor from the magazine. Former CNN host Don Lemon recently expressed such sentiment, as The Hill reported:
“They could’ve done it to someone who actually stood for democracy, who stands for democracy in the country,” Lemon said on his podcast “The Don Lemon Show.”
