President Trump has endorsed Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) to be the next Speaker of the House.

“Congressman Jim Jordan has been a STAR long before making his very successful journey to Washington, D.C., representing Ohio’s 4th Congressional District. Respected by all, he is now Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. As President, I had the honor of presenting Jim with our Country’s highest civilian award, The Presidential Medal of Freedom. So much is learned from sports, and Jim was a master! While attending Graham High School, he won State Championships all four years, a rarity, and compiled an amazing 156-1 record. At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Jim became a two-time NCAA Division l Wrestling Champion. He won his 1985-86 NCAA Championship Matches in his weight class. Jim has a masters degree in Education from Ohio State University & a Law Degree from Capital University,” Trump said on Truth Social.

“He is STRONG on Crime, Borders, our Military/Vets, & 2nd Amendment. Jim, his wife, Polly, & family are outstanding – He will be a GREAT Speaker of the House, & has my Complete & Total Endorsement!” he added.

CBS News reports:

Both Jordan, who is chairman of the powerful House Judiciary Committee, and House Majority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana, announced their bids for House speaker Wednesday.

Hours before Trump announced his endorsement, Jordan told CBS News’ Nikole Killion, “I feel like the momentum is all moving in a really good direction,” and he said that the chairman of the Freedom Caucus, Rep. Scott Perry, other committee chairs and members said they would back his bid to be speaker.

A vote is expected next week in the House, which has been in recess since the removal of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. Rep. Patrick McHenry of North Carolina is currently serving as speaker pro tempore.

In a historic move, the House voted by a margin of 216 to 210 on Tuesday to oust McCarthy. Eight far-right Republicans joined all Democrats in voting to remove him, marking the first time in American history that a House speaker has been removed in a no-confidence vote.

Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, a major critic of McCarthy, forced the vote when he put forth the motion to vacate the office of speaker. Gaetz said his decision came after McCarthy helped pass a bipartisan 45-day stopgap bill last weekend to prevent an impending government shutdown. Gaetz claimed that McCarthy had betrayed conservatives in pushing the bill through.

What do you think about Jim Jordan being House Speaker?

Do you think he’s been giving off RINO vibes lately?

Jim Jordan CONFRONTED Over Trump As Speaker

From our prior reporting:

The RINOs continue to self-identify.

I sure hope I’m wrong about Jim Jordan because he used to seem like he was one of the good guys, but recently he’s been giving me serious RINO vibes.

So sad to see.

First he sided with McCarthy.

And now he’s doing things like talking about sending more money to Ukraine.

Of course that’s not how he phrases it, but you have to learn how to speak RINO.

And after doing this for almost a decade, I speak VERY GOOD RINO.

So allow me to translate for you….

Jim Jordan says “We want questions answered before we even think about sending money to Ukraine.”

If you’re not paying attention, you might think that sounds good, until you realize he’s already laying the groundwork to send more money to Ukraine.

They’ll do some stupid dog & pony show that accomplishes nothing….

They’ll hold meetings, yell at some people, make it a big testicle — errrrr, I mean “spectacle” — and then when they’re done with their little show for the Media, we’ll go write back to scratching big checks to Ukraine.

NO JIM!

NO!

You either don’t get it or you’re a RINO member of the Uniparty.

Which is it?

Jim Jordan: “We want questions answered before we even think about sending money to Ukraine.”

NO JIM!

Sad to say this guy continues to give off increasingly new RINO vibes.

We want NO money ever again going to Ukraine and we want the money we already sent BACK! You don’t get it Jim!

Then he was confronted about Trump as Speaker….

That’s when things got awkward.

Politicians gonna politick and that’s exactly what Jim does.

Jim wants this job, and right now Trump is in his way.

Watch as he dances and dodges to this question, using flattery but making it clear he wants the job over Trump:

It was just a couple days ago when I first started getting RINO vibes from Jimbo:

SURPRISE BETRAYAL? Jim Jordan Backs McCarthy Over Gaetz

Two of the most rock solid people in the House have always seemed to be Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz.

Today Jim Jordan loses some of that goodwill in a strange move siding with Kevin McCarthy.
