If you were wondering what good old Pearl Jam was up to these days, then look no further than their latest poster that promotes a concert being held to encourage people to vote as it promotes Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT). The poster includes an image that represents a dead Donald Trump who is now a skeleton, being picked at by an American bald eagle, and reaching for a briefcase with some less than funny Russian propaganda.

Is this what all rock bands promote, or just Pearl Jam? I’m asking because I love rock music, but I’m 100% fed up with entertainment mixing themselves into politics and it’s getting quite tiring and overplayed like a really bad record. You agree, right?

It’s one thing to be edgy, but it’s very lame for musicians to get mixed up with politics. Pearl Jam has some great tunes, but this incident with the deceased President Trump will surely turn some fans away from their music. It’s acceptable for them to support a republican or democrat, as it’s their right as individuals to vote for whomever they like best (or who pays the most), but does showing a dead president in a disrespectful way rub people the wrong way?

Matt Rosendale and his Senate campaign didn’t like the poster much at all. They stated that it was “reprehensible” and many might agree with them. Is it acceptable for political figures to throw shots at each other in hopes to shed a light on some of their negative aspects? That sounds like fair game. Is it right for a group of musicians and an artist to create pictures of the president dead and reaching for Russia? That might be the line that some people aren’t willing to cross just because of how disrespectful it is.

Take a closer look at this nonsense. It’s like they’ve sunk to the bottom of the barrel when it comes to their lame anti-Trump propaganda. Is this what the left has really become? Is this all they’ve got? Make as many posters as they want because it does not phase us at all. We saw plenty of posters and propaganda at the recent protests and events like the Women’s March, so we’re used to the silly nonsense and shenanigans. This isn’t going to stop us from voting in 2020.

Breitbart stated: “A spokesman for Matt Rosendale decried the poster in a statement to Breitbart News, saying, “Once again, Jon Tester has shown he will stand with the far-left over Montanans. This poster from Pearl Jam is disgusting and reprehensible. It depicts a dead President Trump and a burning White House. It’s time for Jon Tester to denounce this act of violence and blatant display of extremism.”

The poster, which was a collaboration between Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament and Bobby Draws Skullz, depicts an apocalyptic Washington, D.C., with the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial decayed and on fire. In the center of the poster is the skeleton of President Trump, with his hair intact, reaching for a briefcase emblazoned with the communist hammer and sickle, while an eagle feeds on his carcass.

Montana Senate Republican candidate Matt Rosendale is depicted with a lobster claw and waving a flag that says, “Maryland.”

Ament is a “proud” supporter of Sen. Tester; the two have been friends for years, and Pearl Jam frequently comes to Montana to hold get-out-the-vote campaigns for Sen. Tester’s re-election campaigns.

Ament said that he meant to hold the concert on Monday to promote Sen. Tester.

“It will be as close to it as we can possibly get without it being a Jon Tester campaign rally,” Ament said.”

Just how far down the rabbit hole of extremism do we have to go? At what part of edgy and artsy is drawing the sitting president of the United States considered any bit classy or cool?

Does he want people to vote for him or does he want people to treat him to a drink at the local watering hole when they sell PBR for $1?

If getting his name out was the goal, then he might have succeeded, but this could be the attention that costs him a vote or two.

If I lived there, then I can’t say that I would vote for Tester after seeing this. Of course, I’m not a Democrat, so I wouldn’t be voting for him anyway unless the Republican running against him ended up being someone like Bill Cosby, but that’s not happening so I’m not worried.

On the other hand, how does this make Pearl Jam look? They’ve been a huge name for years and they’re allowing themselves to be represented by a poster with the current president being depicted as dead. Is that the image that Pearl Jam wants for themselves now?

They saw what happened to Hollywood’s award shows and the NFL, or did they not? You know, lower ratings, fewer sales, falling further into the swamp just waiting to be drained.

If you live in Montana, then think really hard about who you vote for. Whoever is running against Tester might have gained themselves a few extra votes after this anti-Trump malarkey.
