The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA union) voted overwhelmingly to revoke President Trump’s membership from the union over the actions of the people who breached the Capitol building on January 6th. The union accused President Trump of violating the union’s membership guidelines.
President Trump, who is no fan of Hollywood, responded in a way that only he could.
For those of us who have missed the President’s blistering press conferences and well-deserved barbs at the leftist thugs (Democratic Party media), who worked overtime to make his life, the lives of his family, and members of his cabinet absolute hell—his response is sure to make you smile.
President Donald J. Trump wrote a letter directly to the SAG President Gabrielle Carteris: “I write to you today regarding the so-called Disciplinary Committee hearing aimed at revoking my union membership. Who cares!” he said, in typical Trump fashion.
Trump immediately landed a solid right hook, “While I’m not familiar with your work,” he wrote, “I’m very proud of my work on movies such as Home Alone 2, Zoolander and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps; and television shows including The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Saturday Night Live, and of course, one of the most successful shows in television history, The Apprentice—to name just a few!”
He hilariously called them out for their obvious attempt at trying to gain attention with their ruling, “Which brings me to your blatant attempt at free media attention to distract from your dismal record as a union.” And then, Trump went in for the knock-out punch, “Your organization has done little for its members, and nothing for me—besides collecting dues and promoting dangerous un-American policies and ideas—as evident by your massive unemployment rates and lawsuits from celebrated actors, who even recorded a video asking, ‘Why isn’t the union fighting for me?’”
Near the end of his letter, President Trump blasted the union, “I no longer wish to be associated with your union,” Trump wrote. “As such, this letter is to inform you of my immediate resigning from SAG-AFTRA.”
“You have done nothing for me,” he told them, as he offered his resignation.
Here’s Trump’s hilarious response:
