“Thank. you, for your courage to be here today,” Dr. Ben Carson told an audience of black Trump supporters at Trump’s Black Voices For Trump event. “In this society that we live in today, it takes a lot of courage to say that you’re supporting President Trump,” he told them.

President Trump’s soft-spoken HUD Secretary explained to the audience how people have tried to intimidate and manipulate people since the days of slavery in America. In a lot of states, there were more slaves than owners, so what did they do?  They had to divide the slaves. So, they told the ones in the house, ‘You’re better the ones in the field,’ and the ones in the yard ‘You’re better than the ones in the field. And after slavery was over, the light skin ones, ‘You’re better than the dark skin ones,’ and on, and on, and on.”

“If you’re a conservative then you’re an Uncle Tom, you’re a horrible person, you’re a demon,  What a bunch of crap!” Dr. Carson said. “It’s been going on for hundreds of years,” he added.

“You know, it doesn’t bother me anymore, because I only worry about what God thinks. I don’t worry about what these other people think,” He told them.

“People ask me what happened to you?” Carson told the crowd, saying, “I haven’t changed. I changed about 35 years ago,” Dr. Carson said, explaining how listening to Ronald Reagan speak, helped him to think for himself, and allowed him to see the light.  Carson In spite of growing up in cities, Carlson calls “liberal bastions,” he was able to escape the chains of liberalism.

Dr. Carson told the audience that becoming a free thinker helped him with his medical career. He went on to explain how amazing our complex brains work, asking the crowd, “Would God give you something like that, just so you can be a sheep and follow what someone else tells you what to do?”

Before he introduced President Trump, Dr. Carson gave several examples of how President Trump helped the Black community before he was president and the amazing strides he’s made to help Blacks since he’s been elected.
