As the number of destructive, often violent protests aimed at Tesla owners and dealers keeps growing, a number of influential American appear to be egging on the anti-Elon Musk rioters.

Several examples of supposed comedians apparently glamorizing these attacks have drawn harsh criticism in recent days.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, notorious Trump-hating late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel dedicated much of a recent monologue to the protests.

As Fox News reported, Musk himself responded to one remark critics said was in particularly bad taste:

The Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) government spending cuts and layoffs have sparked outrage, which appears to have led to vandalizing Tesla dealerships and cars in protest.

“People have been vandalizing Tesla vehicles, new Tesla vehicles. Please, don’t vandalize, don’t ever vandalize Tesla vehicles,” Kimmel said, looking at the camera and pausing to seemingly emphasize his sarcasm.

Musk responded to clips of Kimmel’s jokes on X, saying, “He’s such an unfunny jerk.”

Stand-up comedian Bill Burr also took a few potshots at Musk, as Euronews reported:

The comedian was promoting his new stand up special, Drop Dead Years, and spoke about the current climate in the US, referencing the now infamous gesture Musk made several times during Donald Trump’s inauguration.

“I’m trying to get regular people to stop yelling at each other and realize that it’s a select few group of nerds eating raw almonds and doing their stupid workouts and competing with each other to have the biggest infinity pool and the rest of us are getting pushed down,” he said. “They’ve politicized the whole stupid thing and we’re falling for it”.

Clarifying who he meant by “nerds”, the 56-year-old comedian replied: “That idiot Elon Musk!”

While leftist comedians in 2025 are quick to ridicule Musk and the Trump administration for trying to eliminate waste in the federal government, they were suspiciously silent when Barack Obama promoted an eerily similar policy during term in office:
